The two cleanest baby wipes on the U.S. market, tested side-by-side for a week on a sensitive 4-month-old. One wins on ingredient minimalism; the other wins on every other category that actually matters in real-world parenting.
What we actually tested
We bought both wipes retail at Target on May 18, 2026 — WaterWipes 4-pack (240 wipes) for $13.49, and Pampers Aqua Pure 4-pack (224 wipes) for $9.99. No PR contact, no samples, no editorial coordination with either brand. Eli is 18 weeks old, breastfed exclusively, runs 14.5 pounds, and has had two short fragranced-wipe rash flares from the cheap Huggies Natural Care that came in the hospital diaper bag. Sensitive skin but not eczema-diagnosed.
Test protocol: alternated brands across each 24-hour cycle (WaterWipes one day, Pampers Aqua Pure the next, repeat). Wiped through the standard mix of urine cleanups, BM cleanups, food/face/hand cleanups, and one diaper-rash-recovery weekend in the middle of the week. Skin check every 12 hours. Cradle-cap and crusted-residue cleanups
